One photo every day: Miniature city and a model railway at a Toy Museum in Jämsä (352/365)

in onephotoeveryday •  6 years ago  (edited)

Hi!

This time I took so many photos I don't think I can fit them in one post, let alone in a post that's supposed to be just one photo per day. ;)

So I'll post a couple of photos today, and I'll be posting the rest of them whenever I have spare time in the coming days or weeks. They (or most of them anyway) came out a bit under-lit so I'm having to do plenty of editing this time.

Train arriving at the Wildbach station.

Today I took my boys to the Toy Museum Helminauha ("Perl Necklace") in Jämsä. It took us 2 hours to drive there, but it was a fun trip. I think I'll write up a decent story about it starting tomorrow, with of course more pics.

"Hurry or we'll miss the train!"

I'll go to bed now. Otherwise I'll be too tired for workout at 9:30 tomorrow. See ya!

i so love those models they are so cool

all very beautiful and detailed, when I was a girl I dreamed about some of this, good focus on the images, I hope you rest very well! Goodnight

Wow beautiful toy museum

This looked like one of those pictures that are made to look like miniature cities until I realized that this is literally a miniature city. I really like the depth of field thing going on :)

Ah, I love it. My dad and I had a train set that we built every school holiday and it took hours, but was worth it. Kept us busy for days. Nice memory moment for there, thanks mate

That’s a splendid museum!! A lot of hard work and long hours with dedication have been put into this creation of small models!! They must also have very good eye sight!

All the kids dream of having a small train set or a model train set that operates in the small model village! Thus must have been such a wonderful day out fir the boys!

I would like to become a miniature and transport myself to that miniature city, enjoy a good coffee hahahahaha good imagination I had, I liked it, excellent photos friend

I hope you can rest after a long day exhausted but driving.
How good for these pictures really is like a game for children
in that toy museum.
Surely the story you tell us is related to the trip,
and the comments that children make when they travel for more than an hour, in their case 2 hours

2 hours in one direction, that's 4 hours in all. :)

@gamer00,
Those are amazing wallpaper photography! I am personally believe you might put this at Shutterstock to sell! This is professional photography Jaro! Excellent!

Cheers~

I do not know if you remember the mouse movie "stuart little", this miniature city is exactly like a scene from the movie, I saw it and even thought it was taken from there, thanks for sharing it, it is good that you rest so that your body can assimilate the training well, see you later friend @gamer00

Yes I've seen Stuart Little. It was a fun movie, not that I remember that particular scene but I guess it could have a scene like that. For me this town reminds of BeetleJuice. ;)

I had upper-body workout today, I was told by Allyson that now that we are doing two sessions a week he's going to seriously prepping me for strength, and so he did. He made me deadlift 60 kg in a quick succession, and I think my back (or at least some of the muscles in my back, not sure what they are called) is feeling it now. I would like to go to bed now, but I haven't posted my daily photo yet.

That's meticulous work. What did the boys enjoy the most about the museum?

Probably the miniature town, and the collection of old toy cars.

There were a lot of dolls and plushies there, but obviously those were "too girly". ;)

Excellent @gamer00 visits to museums and historical sites are things that I think are the most interesting to do, very nice the models, it is seen that they committed a lot of work, care and dedication, It was a toy museum I hope to see many more pictures.

Oh I remember my dad bought me some trains as a kid and buildings that were quite hard to assemble to create a diorama just like these. I never had the space to keep it out though so everything is still gathering dust somewhere in a box. I've completely forgotten I had this. :)

Hi gamer. I think you are a kid at heart and have just as much fun as the boys on these outings. Nice photos and story again. Why is it called the pearl necklace?

The mini town with so much nice rising building! They are so colorful and obviously wonderful :) The flowers with red and yellow made this more beautiful.
The last photo of this photo doesn't seem like a mini town, it looks like you clicked the photo from a window for real. Very nice.

I want to be a kid again just to seeing these photos! They are wonderful!

It looks very cute. Everything has an ideal and even scale, I say it because the cars sure are real toys. I was struck by the fruit stand and the green truck (a single front wheel).

A whole beauty that model, the dream of any child and who is responsible for making them does not stop being a child's play so be your job :D

Man this is beautiful. Each and every detail seems to be in scale - car tires to windows and gravel to shrubs ............. perfect. I have helped my sister build several small scale models and know from experience the amount of work that goes into detailing.

Would really love to see a complete picture of the model if you have one.

You know... I completely forgot to shoot an overview of the installation. But I asked if Leo took one with his phone and he did, so I'll be posting that one later when I write up the story.

Would love to see it :D

Such a neat display. Someone clearly spent a lot of time working on it and it paid off. That's professional level stuff. Model trains are cool, but they are enhanced by the surroundings that you can add. It's the details that make the difference.

the person who made this city in miniature, I've been doing it for a long time, if you look closely at every detail, it's perfect, I love it! Being a child I would not play in that, I would have it as an ornament and relic

Wow it is indeed looking like a great city ;)

Small yet beautiful in its own way and the architecture of each of the object is indeed beautiful !

Nicely taken shots buddy !

You have great focusing skills! I am amazed to have a look at these pictures. They are showing a particular item in focus which looks great. I have posted some rose pictures, if you can visit my profile. Thank you

Sir why you canceled my vote? 😣

  ·  6 years ago (edited)

I have a policy of not voting people who self-vote their comments. I find comment self-voting pretty rude and will interpret it as if the person doesn't need or want my upvote.

I noticed you had self-upvoted your comment only after I had given the upvote, so I canceled my vote for that same reason.

I have return my upvote. Next time i'll be careful. I was not informed about you policy..

Nice, I returned the upvote. :)

Thanks. I have listened that steemit is a comunity where we can help eachothers. Not only ourselves. This is a great lesson. Thanks for your kindness. Good luck. 👍
