The beautiful morning was greatly welcomed by me, a new opportunity to scavenge for food, get good work and hunt for my daily bread, life hasn't been fair at all and am trying all I could to make it even. I can't keep on watching my mates drive the latest car while I trek the street looking for jobs that can't afford me a vacation, I've done all I could to make it work but the gap ain't closing in. My eyes kept on rolling at the ceiling as I count the cost of the day, where I'll go to and when I'll go out, the time table was already registered in my brain, all plotted out and waiting for the day to break.

The stomach turning has been conquered, it remains the final end to the hunger.

The night still dark a bit, much more like a grey coloured sky is starting to weigh in, in the next two hours the cock is going to crow, signifying the official start of a new day. My eyes starts to close a bit, the stomach-turning vigil is starting to creep in, sleep, the silent master of idleness starts to close my eyes. The whiteness of the ceiling starts to dim out, as the son of man was dragged into the subconscious realm of the dream world.

It was a car horn that woke me up, the time is gone now as my watch says a quarter after eight. Damn, I said to myself, my stored time table in my memory whuchbhave failed me now says wake up by seven o clock, am an hours and forty five minutes late, not only that, the instance of been woken up by a car is strange in this kind of quiet street. The car horn were increasing in number, giving out different frequencies showing the possibilities of many cars outside, "in front of our house ?". I asked myself as I pulled myself up to see what's happening outside.

Opening my wooden door with its spring voice coming out, the first step was met with a thick smoke of air filling my lungs and making me cough so loud, what could be happening today, I struggled to get out and could only see darkness. Looks like the world has finally come to an end, the thick smoke was everywhere, every damn place, blocking the rays of the sun and shutting us off from seeing the beautiful morning sunshine. Steeping out to see this sticked some fears in my mind

The two neighbours we had was the next thing on my mind, the pepper cooking landlord is the last on the list, the smoke made it hard to know which is which again as I staggered to their door. Knocked repeatedly with no one to answer, what a doomsday is this, the last on my list was made for, knocking so hard to wake the dead, the last couple of knock made way for the door to go apart, I managed to enter in and my body stepped on something half soft half hard, like a human body, bent down to search through with my hand and the first thing my hands grabbed is a succulent loaf like object, possibly her breast so I moved the hands up the more, and there lies my lifeless landlord on the floor with mouth wide open, running my hands around her and found out she's clenching a phone at hand, I flipped it open to see a call through to "my son". The caller has called back severally too, but grandma is far from here to pick such a call.

Then where could this dark fog come from, is this how my hunger will continue for today? I sat down and let my thoughts wander off the entire universe in misery of what has just befell me. It just can't continue this way. Three days without food and a peppery food in the stomach?, a perfect combo for ulcer.

This is my entry into @mydivathings everyday #365daysofwriting challenge.
