The quest for financial freedom: Has steemit come to help?

If we want just what we need,
there wouldn't be these many broken hearts - Kenny K'ore

I couldn't agree more with you K'ore.
I have always been about living a simple life, it marvels me when people talk about the things they want to achieve- build big houses all over the world, buy flashy cars, wear expensive clothes that cannot be found easily around and so would be unique to them, the list goes- when all I have in my head is just to be able to meet my needs and be able to buy just the necessary things I want. Mind you, I have nothing against people that want to buy the classy and expensive things as long as they earn with hard work and honesty. I have far long decided that we all dont see life the same way so we want different things out of life.

In the bid to having the kind of life I want,I have to build financial stability. In order to achieve that stability, I studied Physics and Solar energy for my B.Sc degree, became an entreprenuer in agriculture and now studying renewable energy economics for my M.Sc degree, but not much of financial success so far - so much have been invested but not much returns. I am hopeful though, and I know that it is all a matter of time, with perseverance, hardwork and not losing sight of the target, the stability will come.

Right in that moment of the 'chaos' and so much pressure- folks demanding for results for time and money invested for my course- my friend @fisteganos introduced me to a site where I could write about any topic that would have quality content and get paid for it. It sounded too good to be true, but he kept coming back with stories of his success and how people have succeded in the community and I had no choice but to sign up for an account.

After creating an account, the next heartache was to keep releasing quality posts with great contents- it has been quite challenging for me being not much of a writer. However, I worked hard to write my introduceyourself piece - it was real hardwork to put that short piece together as I wasn't used to writing-hoping that it would earn me so much reward but I was shocked when I saw that I had made so little far below my expectation, lol. I was disturbed and so I stopped writing, but the big Fi encouraged me to keep writing and so I wrote my second and third posts and guess what, they earned less than my first post, OMG! I decided I was done writing. Thankfully he- Fisteganos -then started giving tips on the culture of the community- which is mainly getting to meet and interact with people, work on getting followers, writing interesting posts that members of the community can react to. He has been really helpful and I am glad he enrolled me into his onequality project- to help newbies to get used to the culture of the steemit community, you can read about the project here.

At the end of the project, I hope to have been empowered to succeed on steemit- which in turn would improve my earnings- and I would have been able to add to my mix of sources of income, thus moving me faster to attaining financial freedom.

I read a post during my early days here by @surfermarly, she wrote about how she joined in her father's business of growing peppers and how she had found fulfillment in doing that. That post inspired me to focus on the things I really want to do not minding what anybody says to deter me, and 'by dedication, patience, consistency and hardwork' (using Marly's words) success/ financial succes would be achieved. I am a huge fan @surfermarly and I enjoy reading your posts.
I hope we all find success in all we do.
