It is officially Summer everyone!
Because of that I am going to have a very obvious theme this week.
Remember the concept is really simple.
I pick a theme and a song that goes with that theme.
Then you will share a song that matches that theme for you in the comments.
Simple as that!

I am a pretty big fan of Van Morrison, but this song just really says Summer to me. Perhaps it is because it has been featured in so many movies that take place in the Summertime. Maybe it is something else, I don't know, but if this doesn't scream BEACH PARTY! I don't know what does.

I have always lived in the midwest - no oceans, no surfing. So when I heard the song when I was younger, I thoughts about warmer, summer-like places.

Having grown up in the South -- in days when air conditioning was still a luxury (and often unknown) -- the lazy minor key of this piece always captured that awful torpid feeling of "it's too hot to move" perfectly for me. (There are words that go with it -- but the plodding underbeat and the atmosphere those wailing notes create is what makes it. The words pretty much get in the way.)
