You decide to climb up some nearby trees for a better vantage point in order to scope out the area.
It's a bit of a challenge getting any foothold into the icy and wet trees, but after some effort you manage to get rather high up. From here, you look out into the horizon. What you initially see, is somewhat disconcerting.
Trees, upon trees, upon trees, upon snow, upon trees. This cold maze stretches out far as the eye can see. Not even the disruption of large mountainous peaks is enough to break up the never ending cascade of trees.
Moments before feeling completely and utterly lost, you happen to spot something. Way off into the distance, you notice a slight absence of trees, enough for this patch of land to stand out from its congested neighbors. Resting on top of a small hill, lay a structure of some sort. From here, its hard to tell, but it looks to be made out of stone.
The direction towards this structure does not match your map, however...
