Do you know Angkor Wat? So you should notice this fact!steemCreated with Sketch.

There are 65 different alphabets being used in the world. English, German and Dutch use 26 letters. The Cambodian or Khmer alphabet has 72 letters. We are the first civilized world that creates "zero" according to the research on the Angkor Wat's ancient scripture.

Rotokas on Bougainville has only 11, the least of all alphabets.

Russians use 41 letters.
Latin 25 letters.
French use 23.
Hebrew use 22.

Let's not try to figure Chinese where completely different rules apply.

I'm so glad Khmer is my mother tongue and English is my second while my next gens would benefit from these both.

(Khmer hand-writing is a courtesy to my old man)

Like "dz, dzs, ly" bit strange but i like it :)

Cool thanks for this.

Interesting post. Angor Wat has always been a passing fascination of mine.

So, in passing...~smiles~...I would ponder this question. Do you think, perhaps, that they were the first civilization to conceive the concept of...nothingness? Or would you rather think they were the first to record it?

~may all hatred cease...let there be peace~

Possibly that is the case where zero is equated to nothingness. Agreed with your last line! No hatred but peace.
