Very easy and fast to install, configure and maintain ! This is what will make a huge difference for the amateur user who wants to learn more about Bsd .
Very friendly compared to other operating system in BSD family !!!

OpenBSD cons for the simple desktop user:
-Doesn't Support latest nvidia cards only very old ones.
-Graphics performance or general performance may not be the same like linux for example this will depend on your hardware of course.
-Not so many ported applications like FreeBSD

My tips

  1. If you want to quickly install and configure desktop environments and install additional software on openbsd automatically you can use this script:

make sure to chmod +x so you can execute it !
