Next step is to set up a big competition with 1st 2nd 3rd prizes. People should form teams (online) and compete on a general theme. And yes, competition will make everyone better.

yes its true easy to come up with hard to pull off. I did not think about competition since we have openmic every week. I sorta liked the way the youtubers did it. I agree competition will make everyone better but I would think making in as inclusive as possible will be better though in my humble opinion. I like how they did that one not everyone was a pro but they made it work.

There are other ways you can promote the idea, and that is by setting up your own discord and inviting musicians on steemit to join and collaborate.
Try to make the process as easy possible for people to join and start. People like to join moving wagons, so think about that when you present things to them. I still think they will be more attracted to the idea if there are prizes and stuff.
