A letra surgiu da vontade de homenagear o compositor brasileiro Tom Zé...
No entanto, acabou sendo uma espécie de homenagem a uma série de escritores e compositores aos quais gosto muito...Além disso, a canção também teu uma tonalidade de ode saudosista à boa produção literária no Brasil de outrora...
Já que vivemos tempos não tão inspirados, no que diz respeito à produção de letras e textos...
