In my view, you need not concern yourself with folks simply chalking you up to “he’s great and all” etc… You know it, I know it, and everyone else knows it – so the best strategic play in my estimation is to severely “down-play” just how good you are – and come off as just another genuine Joe doing his thing.

I endeavour to be that musician, that artist and that creative being!
I believe that deep down, we all know our limits and level of artistry but keep that locked away (well some of us do)
For me personally, music and story telling is my personal therapy and a way of releasing my anxieties and depressive thoughts. I really struggle (believe it or not) with my emotions and rationalisation of certain situations, interactions with people and social gatherings, but maybe, just maybe, I'm slowly healing and realising how much I connect with the community of musicians and fans alike.

@passion-ground I do have some 'SHIT' I can put out from my days on Soundcloud, trying to please the masses with bullshit pop music! forced and plastic sounding creations that I hated making, and what for? To be accepted? to get a record deal with a major? to be in the club? who the fook knows! I'm so glad that I joined here in January and stuck it out to become one of the COTC - not only here in OM, but on the numerous Discord server radio shows and community initiatives. My insecurities and musical doubts are now becoming distant unimportant memories, and I'm continually inspired to write more and more songs by soaking up the other music here on the platform! not only for you guys, but most importantly, for me!
