Happy Whiskey Wednesday Steemians! Let's kick it off with some Allman brothers-Cover by my awesome brother!steemCreated with Sketch.

Once upon a time a group of friends of mine on social media (when facebook was in its fledgling stages) started the tradition of Happy Whiskey Wednesday as a way of bringing some fun to the middle of a work week. It was our own cyber happy hour...s.

We would post kick-ass, upbeat songs, to one another; we even turned it into a contest at one point as to who could bring the most fun and excitement. Often the hilarity would go on into the night, with dozens of ridiculous pictures (and comments of course) added to the mix.

So I'm going to start that here, see where it goes! Happy Whiskey Wednesday!

I can run with happywhiskeywednesday.
Sounds like a fine idea, good song too.

Excellent! Because it's a new tag and new tags are hard to attract attention to, (particularly when you're new to steemit like me) I used it as a main tag for a bunch of pictures to get it started, then mixed it in with the tags on this post...so it would be noticed, haha! But if you have some clout-I'll be following you shortly-then maybe you can go ahead and use it as a front-runner tag, otherwise just make sure you put it in the tags of course. Good too meet you alienbutt-okay that's an awesome name, I'm going to snicker every time.

I'll look for a happy post to use the tag with.

Sounds good, let me know what you find! I am still learning this place, so my assumption that putting happywhiskeywednesday as a secondary tag would cause it to show up in the tag I made with the photos was wrong. Fail. Haha.

I hung out with Greg Allman on Christmas jamming music. It was awesome. I'll haver to make a post about it because it's a great story how that came to be.

Yes you will! I would love to hear that story, and I'm now a wee bit jealous haha!

Thanks for inspiring me to write that story. Here it is. https://steemit.com/story/@luzcypher/jamming-with-gregg-allman-on-christmas-eve

Impressive guitar playing and great vocals! Watch out for that man down there! Ha!

Haha, thank you! I have a couple of his originals posted on my page, check them out if you get a chance. I'm in the process of recruitment, he should be joining the steem community soon...I think he'd already be on here after the great reception to Lazy Day Blues, but his first baby is due any day so he's a busy guy! I'll definitely making a splash of his debut when he does show up! (Proud big sister, can you tell? Ha!)

nice rendition of that song, while your at it you may as well have Ed play "Whiskey before breakfast" on Wednesdays! Lets have another round!

Good idea! If he wasn't a breath away from having a baby I'd ask him to :)

Very talented brother you have there. He really knows how to make that guitar twang beautiful music. Nice singing with emotion too. Easy up vote, I'll be checking out his originals too. Thanks for sharing this with us all.

I recommend reading Grasp the Taste of Whiskey. I think it will speak to you
