The band was founded on July 14, 2003 under the name "Equal". However, before recording, the female vocalist and drummer decided to quit. Then, Equal changes the name to Samsons.
The name "Samsons" is a name derived from the behavior of Chandra Cristianto, the drummer. Before recording, the label requires Equal to undergo quarantine for a week. Every morning, Konde (her nickname) wakes up early and immediately plays the drum, when her colleagues are sleeping. Of course, Konde's friends became disturbed and said that Konde's behavior was like Samson. Because it is often spoken, then finally Equal renamed Samsons.
His first album, "Naluri Lelaki", was released on April 15, 2006. His most popular single is the Most Beautiful Memories. After the Most Beautiful Memories released, there were several other popular singles such as Man's Instinct, End of This Taste, Not Myself, and the Young End. The Most Beautiful Memories are their flagship song which was included in the first album in 2006 entitled Instinct of Men. The Most Beautiful Memories of 4:27 duration. During its heyday this song was ranked first on the MTV Ampuh charts from February 2006 to June 2006. Until now, the Most Beautiful Memories are still pleasant to hear, despite the gossip that hit.
The most beautiful memories have been in the market for a while. The content and character of the song is simple, it is able to bring Samsons to the ladder of success. The name Samsons skyrocketed and managed to spawn an album.
