I have started this improvisation on the organ as trying out some nice sounding flute stops on different divisions. I then gradually added more stops until I reached mixture sounds. Then I reversed the order of dynamics and started to ommit those stops one by one.
So what came out I hope is a piece with a nice arch of starting softly, gradually getting louder, reaching a climax, then gradually declining in sound and ending on the beginning registration of the flutes.
