Green screen is a lot of fun once you get good at it. When I first started out mine looked a lot like yours (which is not a bad thing). It takes a lot of practice to get good with them. The most important thing is proper lighting.
The best thing you could do for yourself is invest in a softbox lighting kit. You'll get 3 lights and you can get a decent set on Amazon for around $150. Once you have the lighting set you can make great videos with a decent phone.
If you really want to step it up a notch you can grab a DSLR camera, or if you are on a budget, grab a digital camcorder for around $200. I recommend a Canon. They've got some great deals on eBay.
