Somehow I missed week 102. Not sure what happened there, but it's been a busy time musically. It's a long time since I missed a week. This is my 64th entry.
I heard this song a lot on the radio in 1998 on my drive to work and I liked it enough to buy the album Feeling Strangely Fine by Semisonic. I've played it at the pub where I whistle to handle the keyboard riff that crops up at various points in the song.
I apologise for my loud cough in the intro, but I'd already had a couple of attempts at recording this video.

Great cover! It is funny because most people really only know the song closing time by them. It was such a great song it makes you wonder why they didn't get a little more playtime in the US. I would think they should have had at least two hits...

I remember hearing that song all the time on the radio. I never knew who sang it, and the name "Semisonic" means nothing to me.
It's so weird to feel you know a thing, then realise you know so little about it. It's a nice song.
Speaking of ukuleles, I got mine today from Amazon. It's a Brunswick concert ukulele. I hope I can tune it and learn to play, and join open mic myself one day. :)
