i'm sitting here singing the choir of angels harmony responses with you man! :-)
well done! Steem on indeed.

"Out Of The Blue" - what a great album. Do you remember the push out cardboard UFO model that came with the album! Ahhhhh.... memories! :-)

I never had the original vinyl. I bought it as a download recently

Excellent as always Steve. I don’t know too much about ELO and couldn’t list their songs. No doubt I’ve heard lots of ELO but without realising it is them. I may search for them tomorrow for my background music while working.

The great thing about music besides in your case being able to sing and play it, the music takes us back to so many great memories and soothes our souls.

There is an Adrian Belew song called Big Blue Sun that I feel must have been inspired by that ELO record. Hey, if I did some digging through drawers and bag pockets I know I'd come up with some picks you might like.

Not sure I've heard that one. Belew is cool. If you find some picks contact me in chat to discuss

I also bought the double album "Out of the Blue" but it wasn't until my later teens I started appreciating bands like ELO and Roxy Music.

When Mr Blue Sky was played on the radio, it used to piss me off when the DJ's cut the end part off because it was 'too long' and maybe a little disconnected from the main part of the song.

I can remember very distinctly loving "Livin' thing", in the mid 70's, what a song that was. I still listen to it these days.

Like @cflclosers, I had a several 45's of coloured vinyl by ELO, I remember they did a few.

So I just turned 50 a few weeks ago and Mr Blue Sky was my favorite song as a kid. I would say that ELO was one of my favorite bands as well. I remember when the Sweet Talking Woman 45 came out on purple vinyl that you can almost see through. That was super cool.

I am impressed by your version because I never thought the entire arrangement could be played on one guitar. I'm going to try and learn the cords from your vid. I would say you rushed a little in the tempo but otherwise it was terrific. Nice Job!!!!!

Cheers. I do tend to play it quickly. Need to take my time. I never got to see them live unfortunately.

Classic.
