Primatives, Mystic Valley Music Festival, 2014 - "Song Of My Future"

THIS IS THE BAND I HAVE WAITED MY ENTIRE LIFE TO PLAY WITH!!!!!
I can not begin to express how humbled I am to be involved with this band, how deeply honored I feel EVERY performance, EVERY practice- and how abashed when I screw up...

I am playing keys on this version. I do not do a lot of vocals with this band, and none on this song. Since we lost Jack, the bass player with that beautiful tenor (fortunately not due to some tragic event, just artistic differences and logistical problems, as he had to travel 45 or 50 miles to practice when Jesse and Lila Suka moved to West byGod), I am doing a lot more, and I cover the bass, keys and mandolin parts (sometimes we'll work out multiple guitar parts.

Great harmonies, and the flute is tasty. A little of that Ian Anderson feel.

I'm channeling thanks from Jesse and Lila straight to your heart...we finally got the @primatives-usa account up last night late, and I don't know if Jesse's gotten anything posted there yet today.

Looks like you are having fun. Feel free to come by my channel as well. ;)

This is so far beyond fun I have trouble expressing it properly.
There is a state of experience called ananda. This is as close as I can ever get to it while I'm driving the meatmobile ...

A bit too far out for me... Forgive me I'm just a simple man, I don't really understand complex metaphors. I'm guessing something good. It sure "reads" like that. ;)

Ananda is a Sanskrit word.
Its simplest translation is "bliss".

I imagined something like that... BTW I noticed that you promoted the post when it was already 11 days old. And thanks for liking one of my posts as well. I'm not sure if you know this, but we can only influence the income on a post for 7 days. After that the votes count for nothing.

Yeah, I still screw up now and then, (not to mention my mouse behaves erratically sometimes) but there's ALWAYS value in showing support to someone for creating something you value.
Besides, every bit of STEEM I have collected is a gift- some of it is from me consciously parlaying the rewards, but it's all still a magical gift manifesting out of communal good will. I refuse to forget that, even when I space out and don't listen to new music submissions or post new material everyday.

I agree, just wanted to point out for posterity. ;)
