As one of the 6 judges, and as an original artist also, I aim to represent the best original artists in this contest from our wonderful Steemit community. I am keeping my ears open for cover artists as well, don't worry but creating an original song is indeed impressive, especially if executed and performed well. Best of skill and performance to you all next week. This week was filled with so many wonderful artists, even amongst the high amount of entries, and there were still many talented performers who entered, so forgive me if I didn't list you, I definitely heard everyone's entries. 1. @silentscreamer's "Pulp Fiction/Jovano Jobanke (Macedonian Traditional)" By Aleksandar Sarievski Cover Song
From the very first extended introduction note on the violin to the back flow of the interweaving guitar presence, you both show immediately your mastery in the craft of music. This was an exceptionally impressive display of talent, skill and passion and you brought the two songs together beautifully. This combination was filled with a lot of emotion, twisting and turning of rhythms, high and hypnotic sways of momentum and energies. I just love the violinist's playing and how you, without hesitation, broke through with a captivating vocal with just the right amount of harmonic support from the guitarist as well. This entry is beyond epic and deserves big praise and appreciation from the openmic community. You two have raised the standard once again and I thank you for making my judging that much easier. I look forward to many more of your entries in the future to come. Fantastic performance and inspiring to say the least. What a rush this journey was.

Absolutely moving and captivating performance. This original song of yours is truly a work of musical art. You certainly know know something about songwriting as your soul just cascades into a flowing essence of emotions and a layered depth of the human emotions with a beautiful, yet heart tugging lamenting of pain subtletly lined along the melodies of this entry. 3. @vera.carla's "La Torcaza" Original Song

First off, I really enjoyed the video effects, and I don't think you're crazy. It enhanced the visual presentation of such a beautifully written song of a simplistic yet priceless moment in life where a mother pigeon gives a valuable survival life lesson to its child. The world can be an merciless terrain of dangers and evil and a song like this, truly enlightens the soul with the presence of hope, love, light and appreciation. The whistling really highlighted the pleasantry and up beat vibes but hands down your sweet Songbird tonalities and the way rapidly began to singing mimics the excited rhythmic chirping of birds. There is so much to say about this lovely original, I love the experimentation and risk taking you did in regards to the contrast to the approach of musical dynamics of your storytelling-pleasing melodies and the influctuations of the tone. Back to back bird-related songs. This open mic week definitely has taken flight and its course is soaring over the clear skies of talent and skill. I really like the wordplay and context of the title. The back drop story of this song is what really ties it all together and I also got that sense of hope and inspiration from the symbolic meaning and representation of forbidden friendship amongst chains and control. Your wonderful guitar playing, guiding and revealing singing of truth and overall musicianship brought you to the top 5 with this treat of a storytelling creation. Birds are fragile, as are the confines of the our human emotions and the things we take for granted such as freedom and this original entry highlighted a lot of the things which are precious and available to us who have such privilege and luxury to even enjoy the small things in life.
