Wow, my beloved Steem is going through some shit - but this post isn't actually about that.
My regular network at DiggnDeeper.com is going through some major changes too. Although I am certain my network changes are all good, as opposed to my Steem blockchain. It is a bit sad that we have to deal with these things, but I'm confident the community will overcome.
Major Server Upgrade and Transfer
This is the fist time I have posted straight from SteemPeak as opposed to using SteemPress from my Wordpress site in a long time. I can't make any changes to my sites until the migration and transfer are all done.
Right now I'm in the middle of a pretty huge upgrade and server transfer for my main sites. I'm also setting up an install of NextCloud and I will have a bunch of new wikis to use for my subdomains. It will be expansive and very high performance. I'm stoked.
I'm staying with my same host, Hostinger, but I'm upgrading from a shared hosting (which was working fine for the WordPress and wikis) to a high performance dedicated hosting. After some consideration, I'm also moving the server from the Netherlands to the United States. I know that doesn't really sound like a great idea, but I think in my case it will be a pretty big improvement in performance.
The upgrade is mostly all due to the NextCloud install. I want that tool to be a best in class tool for upcoming collaborative projects. The performance boost that the blogs and wikis get will also be great for usability and SEO, but probably not highly noticeable to regular users.
It will be immediately obvious to the people working with the NextCloud install.
The upgrade, transfer and all the DNS should be resolved by tonight and I will continue developing the network for a collaboration centric workflow.
What a fine time to be alive!
