Bob, almost 8 centimeters in length, from Norfolk, was taken to the vet quickly after his owners saw a strange bulge in one of its fins that made him even swim backwards.

After placing Bob on a specially adapted operating table where they could introduce anesthetic water into his mouth through a tube, they mounted a miniature monitor to verify that he was asleep. Then, with the water keeping him alive, they used magnifying lenses to remove the small bundle using mini pliers and scissors.
