I started off just doing a #chalkwithme on my way to Sprouts, racing the dusk.

I got snarky with that one. It was on my jotted down quotes note, but I wrote it in front of a house with campaign signs AGAINST the right to survive ordinance that's going to be on the ballot in May. The RTS is basically, the cops can't steal a homeless person's blankets and tent and other gear (they do currently), and they are allowed to frikkin' lie down without without getting arrested. I hope the homeowner sees this and feels an ounce of compassion.

And then I was at Sprouts and did my shopping. On the way out, I saw a homeless man trying to sleep on the sidewalk. Since I was thinking of grabbing a burger for myself on the way home anyway since I hadn't eaten yet, I stopped at Good Times and grabbed a burger for me and a gift card for him.

Just $5, because I am not a rich man, but hopefully enough for him to grab a decent meal.

But when I walked back toward Sprouts, he was already gone! Oh no! I circled the row of shops and found him though, and gave it to him. He seemed genuinely touched. I imagine someone had just made him move, since he hadn't been in his original position for long, so hopefully I turned the heartlessness of others around for him a little.
