In relation to what was published in the Opinion Forum of the Drawing Fundamentals Subject of the Faculty ... It is proposed to answer the question - is it possible to separate the aesthetic from the ethical?
In my opinion, everything we see suggests ideas that create, in turn, sensations. I think that the more pleasant the sensations of those ideas are to us, at the time of judging them, the more we like them and the more attractive or beautiful they seem to us.
I think that aesthetics does have something to do with morality, since we feel good when we are facing something that infuses us with inner peace, a feeling of harmony and balance, since what we are seeing transmits all that information to us; and what is good and beautiful, therefore, could be defined as something beneficial to our senses and emotions.
Imagine for a moment, the moment in which we have the pleasure of observing something that we like; At that moment there is a rush in your notion of time and one stops to feel a series of things that help us to be able to describe the image we are seeing at that particular moment. Then, the qualifier "this is beautiful", "is beautiful" or "this is fine" is born in our mind because it seems good to us. I give as an example, when we are all in class either drawing, painting or sculpture and we stop to walk around the classroom and look at the work that our colleagues are doing. On occasion we have stopped to observe some drawing, painting or sculpture that especially has caught our attention. And, suddenly, you feel that pleasant sensation of which you were talking; then it is when that spontaneous reaction surfaces and you say "joe, how nice! I love it!", that drawing, sculpture or painting may have conveyed to you a series of ideas or sensations that, emotionally, have reached your sensibility. Of course I suppose that each one will perceive the ideas of what he sees according to the personal tastes of each one.
It may be that, too, the human being is curious about a series of things that are offered in the world and are not shown as frequently as what we are trying to instill in the culture, education, moral values and basic notions for socialization, as what Mary shows us in the work done by the artists that she mentions us to investigate. It may be that they call our attention, for a thousand reasons and even if they are socially or politically "incorrect" issues, they are images that attract us because of their mere visual impact; who knows!
Now, really on what is the aesthetics of art or everything that surrounds us in the world based? Exactly and accurately and accurately I do not know, there is much to discover, see and evolve in the world of art and in the world in general. We would have to listen to other opinions also to realize other points of view ...
