What am I talking about? Well being alive necessitates that one has a series of trials and tribulations to go from. These trials represent external growth. But where do you think all of these trials emanate from? They are all inside you, programmed from birth so that you have a program to keep you moving forward. Now we can choose to play each level, like Mario jumping on top of little mushroom people. Or we can wander around the level aimlessly. Just collecting flowers and coins for reasons unknown.
This is what most people actually do. They roam around the levels, thinking that there is some sort of prize for collecting the most coins or turning into the little fire powered Mario or the little raccoon Mario. But what are they forgetting? The ability to transform is only there to help you get through the levels. It’s not about wandering and collecting the coins (money). Really none of that has to do with anything. There is no bonus prize for collecting coins, it’s just a high score thing (keeping up with the Jones’) Now you may think that transforming makes you special, but that specialness actually wears off in time. And you can collect all of the coins that you want, but it’s won’t help you progress through the levels in a true sense.
If you want to do that, you have to face harder and harder obstacles and sharpen your skills level by level to the point where no gazumba (I think that’s their name lol) can any longer pose a threat to you or your spiritual ability to progress. Yes, there will always be the bowzers or the big cannon bullets coming headlong towards you, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t just plow through. Now every time you die in the game (symbolizes sleep or transformation) then you are able to wake up and try the level again. But until your spiritual skills are on par with that of the entire kingdom, you can fall victim to any number of spiritual traps set forth on your course. These traps were predestined as well. You have to face your demons head up.
Face your enemy’s head up. Face yourself head up. These are the only options we have, yes we may be just trying to get through life, but that doesn’t mean the levels get easier. But becoming proficient at becoming a human being is a reward within itself. Just as a player would soon tired of easy levels, so too do humans need increasing difficulty to prove themselves to themselves spiritually. We are our own taskmasters if we choose to be. There is nothing keeping us from finishing the game of life and progressing spiritually but us. The symbolic deaths we must die are painful, but they also sharpen our skills to the point where we can successfully evolve past the need for the game at all.
At that point, life is something totally different; totally meaningful and purposeful. But until that point… Game on!!!
Great post xx
