Oracle-D Success Story In Aceh, Indonesia

in oracle-d •  6 years ago

The day when @starkerz told me that they are going to go to Indonesia to have presentation at South East Asia Blockchain Summit in Jakarta (11/3-11/4), I asked him to also visit another regions in Indonesia. He agreed as well as @anarcotech, and they event willing to come 12 days prior the event to travel to some universities in Indonesia. They even told me that they are willing to go direct to Banda Aceh because they can see that blockchain technology is needed to support and to help to generate a new economic system which very much needed at the moment for a better future. I felt so happy and relieve actually, because it is very hard to find someone who is willing to transfer their knowledge about what is blockchain technology and how to implement it properly. Most of blockchain events in Indonesia are talking about trading and cryptocurrency which very much affecting people to avoid this technology. They create the image and perception that it is a new game of investment or on the contrary, some people thought that it is a new way to get money instantly by mining. That is why I am so happy that finally we can have the first blockchain technology event in Indonesia, in Aceh, in campus, that really talks about blockchain technology, about steem blockchain technology, and how to use it properly to develop everybody, the regions, and the world in ethical way.

We are on newspaper!

I went to Aceh one day before they arrived because I wanted to stay at @rumoeh.agam, one of SOS Children’s Village so I can introduce @oracle-d and steem blockchain first. I felt honoured because they let me stay over there and they even invited me to have delicious fish barbeque for dinner over there. That made me want to have humanitarian program implemented as soon as possible.

The next day, I met Mr. Boy and his friends, all are entrepreneurs from Aceh, to discuss about what we can do to develop business with blockchain technology in Aceh. Then, I and @fararizky picked up @starkerz and @anarcotech at Iskandar Muda International Airport in Banda Aceh, then we went straight to Lamphuuk Beach to go away for a while. We have been working hard for months and especially after a long journey to go to Banda Aceh, I thought it would be nice if we can take a break for one night. We need to get ready to continue our journey to Lhokseumawe, 6-8 hours driving from Banda Aceh the next day, and we need to be as perfect as possible for the seminar over there.

That day, it was the first time I met @starkerz and @anarcotech “in flesh”, and we were having long conversation about what we are going to do during @oracle-d visit in Indonesia. We need to discuss a lot of things and to adjust the presentation with the situation and conditions. Instead of sleeping, we ended up working until morning, and as a result, we woke up very late. We rush prepare ourselves and drove to Lhokseumawe. On our way, we picked up @akbarrafs at Sigli, because he was incharge for documentations. He had to go to everywhere we go. So, We arrived very late at night that day that we missed the dinner invitation from Dean of Economics and Business Faculty, Malikussalleh University. As soon as we arrived, we all went to bed, we did not want to wake up late again. We had important event the next day at FEB Malikussaleh University.

Lamphuuk Beach where we stayed.

We were stunned by the crowds of students, lectures, and Steemian who attended our seminar at Cut Meutia Hall, FEB Malikusalleh University. It was packed and there were 220 peoples came to get information about blockchain technology and how to become entrepreneur with steem blockchain technology. We encouraged the crowds to fully understand how to support this technology properly, to make sure that we all can have a better life, better world in the future since this is what we all are looking for. It was great, at the end of the Seminar, there were more than 40 people signed up to Steem through oracle-d and @oracle-d is so ready to guide them to get their future on Steem Blockchain.

Since I am also the head of international relations and Telecommunication and Information Technology for Indonesia Telecommunication and Information Technology Company and Consultants, for me this event means a lot. We do really want to develop education, human resources, and economics through technology in Indonesia. This kind of event will help us to explain to a lot of people, opening their minds, that at the moment we have an opportunity to do it. Before, we had a lot of problems with internet, but today, we actually have a lot of good things that we can use to solve those problems. All we need to do is to provide the right information, education, as well as to implement all the best ideas together with university, entrepreneurs, government, all other organization, and the society to work together to make it happened. It is not the right time to be that ego and greedy, it is time to think about all of us together and do all the best to make all of our dreams come true.

After the event, we were invited by North Aceh Regent, Mr. H. Muhammad Thaib to visit his official house in Lhokseumawe to discuss about what we can do to help students and young generations in Aceh, particularly in North Aceh area with blockchain technology. We went over there with Mr. Boy and Reza from Aspekti for Aceh Province. We were so humbled by this invitations, he was so nice and encourage us to have spirit to have more and more ideas about what we can do for Aceh.

In the evening, we finally had dinner with Mr. Wahyudin, dean of FEB Malikusalleh University, some lectures, @ayijufridar, the leader of Steemit Indonesia Community @levycore, and some other Steemians. The next day, we drove back to Banda Aceh, on the way we met @dokter-purnama and @doddybireun in Bireun to have breakfast together, we also met @aiqabrago and some Steemians on the way to Sigli, and we met @akbarrafs’s mom and family as well to take a rest for a while. We arrived in Banda Aceh in the afternoon and we went straight to SOS Children’s Village. We wanted to meet the children before we met the management to discuss about a lot of things. We also met Indonesia Steemit Community Chapter Banda Aceh in the late afternoon at Kedai Kupi Aceh to explain what we are doing in Aceh. We do really hope that we can build Aceh together with blockchain technology together, for the good things that we could have in the future.

The next day, we had meeting with SOS Children’s Village management to explain about blockchain technology that should be very useful for humanitarian programs. It will not only good for Banda Aceh, not only for SOS, but also for all orphans and poor all over the world. This is something that definitely we can do together on Steem. After that, we had meetings with Aspekti in Banda Aceh and some entrepreneurs from Aceh. They came to understand about this technology, they had a lot of great ideas how to develop Aceh but so far they could not do anything, but as soon as they realize about blockchain, now they know exactly what they have to do. This meeting opened up their mind about the future since they already found the answers to solve the problems they had before.

With North Aceh Regent and Aspekti Banda Aceh

So, by the time we left Aceh to Padang, there are a lot of new comers join Steem. They want to learn about Steem blockchain technology, and hopefully they could have great ideas to increase the value of Steem in the future, which could also help Aceh to have a new system of economics that will lead all of us to a new history of civilization filled by creativity, democracy, transparency, and freedom. This is just the beginning, there are more events coming, and we are very confident that we are walking in the right path to be success. Not only our success, but success for all.

Thank you to all who help us to make this trip really meaningful in Aceh. We look forward to meet all of you again soon.

Semoga lancar ke seminar blockchain di Jakarta, CD @wahyuddinalbra. Dua hari lalu sudah saya ingatkan undangannya.

We are so lucky, Teh @mariska.lubis for the opportunity to have @starkerz and @anarchotech come earlier (wow, 12 days prior the event!) so that we have the chance to learn more about blockchain from them! Its a very good opportunity for us. Thanks @oracle-d! 😊

Wow @mariska.lubis What an eventful few weeks, well explained in this post. I hope Steemit with the help of you and @oracle-d can make a difference in your country. They seem very willing to listen. @starkerz and @anarcotech have had a wonderfully warm welcome from your country. They seem to want to learn, to be able to change their lives. I hope this goes well for you all. Thank you for all of the hard work and tiring effort that you and @fararisky have put in. You have been doing a lot of translating as well (your brain must be spinning)

Hi @mariska.lubis, I'm @checky ! While checking the mentions made in this post I noticed that @doddybireun doesn't exist on Steem. Did you mean to write @dodybireuen ?

Hello, Mariska,

Thank you very much for this report about the meetings with the @oracle-d team. I was checking their blog to learn more, but they only had some photos, which I understand because their time is taken up traveling and in meetings.

Your story here helped me understand much better what is happening in Aceh, and I am excited about the possibilities of Steem and the blockchain as you begin to use it where you are.

Kindest regards,

- @creatr
