God and Ezekiel: They'll seek an oracle from the prophet, but the Law will be gone from the priests, and counsel from the elders. Ezekiel 7:26

The texts of Ezekiel have a different and unique literary style among the books of the Old Testament, especially the description of his heavenly visions that exceed those of the prophet Daniel, and it is a book that in its writing style recalls in many passages the Christian Book of Revelation, and it is very likely that the apostle John, author of the book, was fundamentally inspired by the words of Ezekiel.
The prophet Ezekiel, according to the book that bears his name, was chosen by God as a spiritual sentinel of his people, and among the first deported by Nebuchadnezzar to Tel Aviv near the city of Babylon the prophet had visions in which he predicted the destruction of the holy city of Jerusalem by the Babylonian Empire. In a very interesting way, Ezekiel was called "Son of Man" by the Lord, a title later used by Jesus which means that Ezekiel was a personification of the perfections of God, an ambassador of God's grace. In other words, Ezekiel was a preannouncement of the Kingdom of God, a Kingdom that would manifest centuries later with the realization of the covenant between God and David.
And Ezekiel in his first oracle described the situation of the Kingdom of Judah governed by Zedekiah its King, the inhabitants of Judah had abandoned their covenant with God and Ezekiel glimpsed the situation that was to come, and this is how the prophet Ezekiel described the error of the Israelites:
"Their silver and gold
will not be able to deliver them
in the day of the LORD's wrath.
It will not satisfy their hunger
or fill their stomachs,
for it has caused them to stumble into sin" Ezekiel 7:19.
The Israelites had sought other gods and the God of Abraham and Moses had hidden his face from them, that is, his grace and his spiritual gifts, something that is the result of hardness of heart. And so Ezekiel continued and described the punishment for the Israelites: "They'll seek an oracle from the prophet, but the Law will be gone from the priests, and counsel from the elders" Ezekiel 7:26.
Ezekiel ultimately described a situation in which men abandon the science of God, and when this happens, when counsel, vision, and ultimately common sense, which are gifts from God, are lost, only oppression and suffering remain.
