Who is Orchi Palar and what does he want?

Orchi Palar is an infamous Instagram troll who has been harassing and bullying people in the vintage watch world for at least a decade. His real name is Ngu Wei Sin and apart from Orchi Palar he also uses other pseudonyms like Christopher Ng or Chris Ng to disguise himself.

Orchi Palar portrays himself as some sort of old wise man but in reality, he looks nothing like his avatar, nor is he wise or anything close to that.

Orchi Palar read on the internet about watches but since he has the attention span of a squirrel on meth, he never truly understood anything. He just acquired a dangerous half knowledge and is spreading made-up stories which sell well to ignorant newcomers. Orchi Palar aka Ngu Wei Sin is an impertinent person. He totally overestimates his knowledge. Watch experts and collectors were mean to him in the past due to his never ending nonsense. Interestingly, Orchi targets these very people now.

Before Instagram, he was registered on several watch forums. In 2011, he tried to portray a Rolex 6538 "Big Crown" with wrong 1530 caliber as something special. He had advised a wealthy Malaysian collector named MC Yoon to buy that watch. At some point, MC Yoon started asking questions regarding the wrong movement and Orchi was under massive pressure. He tried to seek support on the Vintage Rolex Forums but most members, especially the moderators (Philipp Stahl, Jed McCormack and others), told Orchi there was nothing special about that watch. Orchi Palar made a big fuss and kept going on and on about it until someone with direct connections to Rolex offered to organize a meeting in Geneva for him. Orchi was supposed to bring the watch to Rolex and have it inspected. It turned out, Orchi never went to Geneva and as a matter of fact, after this episode, he completely vanished.

On another occasion, Orchi Palar bought a Rolex 5517 Milsub from ebay, again for MC Yoon. The British Milsub experts Jed McCormack and Mike Wood were watching the very same watch but ultimately refrained from bidding on it since the case back appeared to be re-engraved. They knew Orchi was after the watch and told him about the case back. Our Chinese friend probably thought they were trying to trick him and wouldn't listen. Full of confidence from reading on the internet but with zero real experience about anything, Orchi Palar aka Ngu Wei Sin bought the watch anyway. As the British Milsub experts had warned, the case back turned out to be re-engraved and Orchi was now sitting on a overpriced and difficult to sell watch. People on the Vintage Rolex Forums started laughing about Orchi and insulted him. Ever since this episode, in which Orchi made once again a total fool of himself in front of the entire watch community, he keeps perpetuating the myth that all Milsubs are fake, built by Jed McCormack. This is of course far from the truth but goes to show you that Orchi is resentful for no reason.

This and many other similar events made Orchi lose face in front of the entire Rolex collecting community. Losing face is possibly the worst thing that can happen to a man of Chinese descent.

Later, when he resurfaced after a few years, the Vintage Rolex Forums people asked him about the outcome of the meeting with Rolex. Orchi lied and claimed what was discussed could not be published but he would buy the watch anytime again. This was obviously a lie as everybody knew Orchi never went to see Rolex in the first place.

Orchi Palar is known for making up stories. He accuses others of being spin doctors but he is the biggest spin doctor the vintage watch world has ever seen. As a compulsive liar, he just cannot help himself. Some renowned experts say that 95% of what he says is completly made up.

It is unknown why he calls himself Orchi Palar. Perhaps his real name Ngu Wei Sin is tainted by something horrible he did in his past and he uses pseudonyms to keep certain things secret. The interesting thing is, Orchi never uses his real name, not even for official communication with public servants, as you can see in the screenshot below.

Someone who is so desperately trying to keep his real name secret has definitely something to hide. Not much is known about him, except he lives in Subang Jaya, Malaysia and has two families. One in Malaysia and one in Indonesia. For some reason, he left Malaysia and settled in Indonesia for a while. There he married another woman and had a daughter with her. Orchi Palar married again without being divorced, nota bene!!! Things didn't work out and he had to crawl back to Malaysia. His first wife and her family took him back but he is under house arrest ever since.

Orchi Palar aka Ngu Wei Sin is an ethnic Chinese living in Malaysia. His grandfather immigrated to Malaysia from Mainland China. Chinese with migrant background make 23% of the Malaysian population.

Orchi Palar is addicted to the internet, expecially to internet sex. He enjoys stalking his young victims with pictures of his genital. A guy who spends 24/7 on Instagram and other platforms has no time for his family. The only reason his wife and two sons stick to him is out of compassion.

Orchi Palar has been diagnosed with a severe mental illness and is unable to work on a regular job. There are also clear signs of autism, narcissism and sociopathic behaviour (ASPD = antisocial personality disorder). Orchi lives in his own world. He has to stay at home and is attempting to become a watchmaker. To generate income, he now works closely with Italian vintage watch counterfeiters (e.g. Samuele Rinaldi, Luca Lombardi and Osvaldo Patrizzi) and helps them legitimize fake watches or fake parts (Panerai and Rolex).

Orchi Palar is deperately seeking to gain power over the vintage watch world. None of the established vintage watch experts has ever endorsed him and he is butt hurt. People liking and commenting his posts are mostly uneducated newbies, people without any knowledge who are being taken for a ride by Orchi Palar. Orchi Palar's content is merely disinformation.

Orchi has only limited knowledge but he is pretending to know everything. His so-called Littlebirds are using him for their own agenda, e.g. to discredit their competitors or enemies. Basically, Orchi Palar aka Ngu Wei Sin is nothing more than a puppet with dangerous half knowledge.

Orchi took to Instagram for the sole purpose of revenge against the moderators of the Vintage Rolex Forums. Right now, he is involved in several cases of libel, defamation and character assassination. He is spreading lies about people to protect the interests of his employers.

Orchi Palar is the unofficial spokesman of the auction house Antiquorum. Their CEO Romain Rea, another known crook in the vintage watch world, lets Orchi Palar do the dirty job of defending qualified counterfeits offered at Antiquorum.
