This will be my official statement as to the disposition of the fraudulent felony charges brought against me:
EDIT: On Tuesday, May 15 at 1100 I will be going to my final court appearance. As was shown earlier this week, despite numerous "technical glitches" (Thank you for the assistance Teresa Brookshire) the state filed to have my witnesses, and expert witness, silenced. As the appointed Judge Anderson has always granted every state request, I knew that on Monday I would find myself stripped of all witnesses. On Wednesday March 9, my attorney, Nick Davis, was able to bring the District Attorney's office back to the negotiating table and the offer as of 1130 today was one year probation, all other charges dismissed and read in. I will be taking a Class I felony charge of Sustantial Battery.
Going to the Harney County Resource Center had many risks and almost no tangible benefits. I knew this going in. Upon deciding to stay I knew it was possibly a suicide mission. When I emerged seemingly unscathed in February 2016 I told those around me that it was a false tranquility and within a year I was going to be attacked and set up. Almost exactly a year later it happened.
Because I have taken a felony doesn't mean that I am going to be silent. I, with some help from my friends and allies, will be engaging in a campaign to prove once and for all to the public that I am innocent. It wouldn't be a hard point to prove if I had the money to do so, but I am an activist and one of the very few to stand honorably at Malheur and am a poor man as a result. I do not have the resources to fight this, especially when Jeff Kemp is claiming his orders come from "the top" of the Department of Justice. There is also the implied threat of refilling the felony charge federally if I win this one. As I am not a millionaire and do not have a famous last name, I cannot possibly hope to fight this. This is as "good" as it gets for me.
The way I see it, I already won. I will not be making the same mistake Darryl Thorn made and chance 7 years, let alone a potential for a number greater than my age if it goes to federal court.
I would like to formally request assistance with dissemination of documents and the recording of an interview with my would-be expert witness, Navy Corpsman veteran Joe Anderson explaining the details of the case and so-called evidence.
