Circle of Life: Organ Improvisations based on the paintings of my dad

in organmusic •  5 years ago  (edited)

Back in 2016 I played entire improvisation recital based on the paintings of my dad on the small Baroque organ at Vilnius University. There reason I'm sharing this video today is that next Sunday I'm going to use these paintings for my new improvisations. This time in Klaipeda, in the town where I was born. There is this chapel of the Oncology Center and they will have series of organ concerts designed as music therapy for patients and their families.

This is a very neat idea. I am sure it doesn’t do your improv justice to listen and view on a small iPad. Ideally, it should be experienced live or at an iMax theater with surround sound. Good luck with your concert in Klaipeda! I wish we could attend it.
