Today I played for the opening ceremony of the Law Summer School

While @organduo was playing for graduation ceremonies at the church, I performed a couple of pieces for the opening of the Summer School at the Department of Law at Vilnius University on a small organ.

I came to the hall quite early and practiced on a silent keyboard, without the organ motor turned on. Then @organduo came up because he finished playing earlier than expected.

It was very hot in the organ balcony, the ceremony was late to start and I was jealous of @organduo because he played the big organ while I got to play only the small one.

But the good news is that they will pay extra to @organduo and he will pay me. :)

Here's the video of the Sortie in F Major by Cesar Franck, the French Romantic composer and organist. @organduo was behind the camera and he turned the pages for me.

Hope you'll enjoy it!

Don't be jealous! You can come to the church tomorrow and play the large organ, if you want to, haha!

If you'll pay me, I might think about it:)

Would ice cream count as payment or you prefer PAL?

What a choice !

Don't be greedy:)

Thank you:)

You played this piece beautifully and perfectly Ausra❣️I had never heard Sortie, what a wonderful gift to hear such beautiful music to my ears, it was so joyous, I felt like getting up and dancing around the room Ha Ha. I think I would have done “soft shoe ballet” if I would have. I used to do that years ago when I was in a dance troupe. Do you pick out your own music to play at different events? And also Ausra, do you do improvisation music like Vidas? I would love to see you if you do, could you tell me also if you do so that I don’t miss it please. Thank you for sharing your music with us, bless you friend ❣️

Thank you friend. I'm so glad you liked it. Most of the time we can choose pieces that we will play on a specific occasions, but sometimes the organizers have specific requirements. As for the improvisation it's Vidas strength. Im not as brave as he is. Although I can improvise simple things for church service for example. Vidas dream is that we would improvise together during recital. But so far we have done only privately for ourselves. I guess that teaching music theory for many years has suppressed my imagination :(

I absolutely know for a fact that your imagination is excellent ha ha... look at your awesome comics, look at the imagination that goes into that. What a extremely talented musician you are, equally matched to your lovely husband Vidas, it’s fun to watch you play together❣️

Lol, I love listening to these sounds.. You and organduo know each other physically? Cool.. Steem friends

This piece is lively and pleasing to my non-musical ear.

What is a silent keyboard? Is it like a piano?
