The Goats Have Arrived

Because what Steemit critter collection would be complete without a goat or two?

After experiencing the ~~frustration~~ fun of making an origami octopus from a sheet of notebook paper, it was time to take the next steps on my origami journey. So I acquired a package of square sheets in 3 sizes and many colors with the mindset of
Fold them all! No mistakes, no worries!

Before they were goats, both sides of each sheet got doodles

Those are really cute. I like how you did the doodles on them before, when both of them so that they have decoration on the paper. I have been playing with origami for a while and while I’m not very good at it, I can make a few things decently well. I’m gonna try drying on them before and see how they turn out and maybe I will share mine in the upcoming week. Look, you inspired create 70 :-)

I'm new to origami myself, it's amazing how complex some models are. The doodles are a stray from tradition, I like seeing what shows up where when the whole thing is done. Glad to know I could pass on the origami inspiration! Thanks for commenting. ☺

They look really cool, love their twisty horns! And the face doodles made an unexpectedly interesting pattern :) So were these ones easier or harder than the octopus? :D

Yes!! A nod to steemit's master goat artist. These were definitely more challenging than the octopus. After making this model twice, I still ended up with short-leg goats! Learning is fun ☺

For a second I thought you might be entering my mad goat contest!

These look great! Would love to see you compete with this little guy. There is only one other entry....ha ha you could write something inspired by his blog and then turn it into a goat. 5sbd easy money...well if nobody else enters which is more than likely as I have done zero prep/promo for #comedymeetart week

Every day this week I have been doing a contest. But nobody is really interested. Only @bleedpoet and another user...that starts with a p - can't remember ha ha Anyways just two users entered. Anyways not a lot of entries. You should check some of them out. Some of the challenges are as easy as making 3 user suggestions in the comments. Also I think you should check out #steemitartists your face has become popular there.

Sweet, thanks for the #steemitartists tip, and for using my face again in one of your works. I would love to return the favor, alas I know not of your visage. Running a contests requires some focus and attention, so I commend you for your work in that arena. I've been investing time in IRL activities lately, but I've been lurking around here too, even though I haven't been posting much.

Although the model in the diagram looks a bit taller and more refined, I think these goats look good too. They've got some character. Thanks for having a look!
