Origami Swan Times Three

After experiencing the frustration fun of making an origami octopus from a sheet of notebook paper, it was time to take the next steps on my origami journey. So I acquired an assorted package of 55 sheets with the mindset of
Fold them all! No mistakes, no worries!

This origami journey has opened me up to an entire realm of models I never dreamed existed. The more I fold, the more I look forward to the destination of this journey - a diorama of all the models together. There's still quite a few sheets left to fold, so sit back and enjoy the views.

This stop on the origami journey is dedicated to our fellow steemian, @awakeningartist, who asked if I could make a swan.

Elegance and beauty are embodied by the swan. What is your "animal identity"?

My is probably a bear. Powerfull but also need my rest time.

Yes, balancing action with rest is an important lesson for us to take from nature. That's a good analogy and a reminder, thank you for commenting!

lovely swans and beautiful patterns! :)

I appreciate you stopping by to look, thank you :D

These have come out so well! Yellow one is my favourite. They'll also make for great mobiles. Can't wait for the next one!

An origami mobile sounds like a neat idea. Thanks for commenting ☺

Didn't think of origami by paper with own drawing. Usually just with plain paper, washi, or printed with pattern.
Watched sonobe on youtube weeks before xD

Hey! You are getting better and better. The frustration of the octopus trained you to do it better, believe me. It is all about the patience and the love for the paper.
Those doodles are even better than the origami in itself!

I really like the doodles too, I almost felt it was a shame the best parts of them were not visible on the exterior of the finished models. I've seen instructions that show a representation of all the folds as they would appear on the unfolded beginning square. Perhaps once I ascend to the next level of origami I'll be able to better incorporate the doodles so they can be seen at the end. Thanks always! ☺

Monkey/Tiger person...

But some like to think of me as a 6'3 foot tall rabbit.

Is monkey/tiger person a conglomeration of the two animals? Yes, I remember your rabbit adventures last year...

In the chinese zodiac my sign is the fire Tiger and my assending sign is the Monkey - two opposites. Because of this combination from Chinese astrology standards my combo throws any type of predictions out the window... and I liked that concept growing up. I so often think of the combo when my life is haywire. Once upon a time I wanted to get a full back piece of a tiger and a monkey battling to the death.

What is your spirit animal?

Sounds like you've really done your homework here...the most I've looked into my animal sign is reading the back of the placemat at the Chinese buffet. So that's embarrassing. I don't actually know what my spirit animals are, but if I were assigning myself an animal identity, I'd choose a tapir (edit)
capybarra because I get along with all kinds of other people and I have a laid back demeanor. ☺

You are really getting good at this organized foldature. Very impressive indeed.

I've always been very partial to the Manatee. Not sure if they make one of those in foldable form or not? Then again, you said they have just about everything. And if there is a 'Pooper', so there MUST be a Sea Cow.
Do they have Origami buildings? That would be kind of fun for the diorama too. Huts and other things for an island. I can dream, can't I?
Hope your weekend is a good one. Oh, and I FINALLY left a message on Chat for you. Ciao

Thank you kindly. I'm fairly certain there's a manatee floating around on the Internet somewhere. I found a chicken! Coming soon. Yes, I've made a origami house, it was a very simple model that came with the paper. That's a good idea with the hut for the diorama. I'll give .chat a look. Take care!

The purple one is my favorite, it looks so majestic :D
Maybe I'm little biased because of it's amazing color xD

Origami takes patience for sure! Cool as hell though

Love that little family shot in the beginning... super cool!

awesome art.

These are great! Folding skills are getting more complex I see, epic. Really like that doodle on the yellow paper aswell!

My Animal Identity would be a Black Panther: Intelligent, generally very quiet and cautious, comfortable living in solitude (tho I can get along with almost everybody) and leading a nocturnal lifestyle.

I've been pushing myself to fold more complex models, although the results are not always pretty! The doodles help disguise the mistakes too.

And like a panther, fierce when necessary (on the mic!!)
