Original Glass Art: Blue Chicory Flowers

Chicory is a hardy, tenacious plant that grows as easily in a meadow or on the side of a road in the driest earth. A sure sign of summer, this tough little plant has the most delicate flowers that are as blue as the bluest skies and begin to wilt as soon as they are picked. One of my favourite summer flowers.

These little blue chicory flowers are hand pulled murrini made from Effetre and CIM glass and the leaves and stems are Double Helix silver glass.
