Increase your creativity for creating music
The dream of every musician is that our work is one of the most popular and recognized, as this involves a lot of work and effort to create a song that is pleasing to the ears of the audience. Due to these high demands, many feel that their artistic work in the music scene does not meet the standard requirements to enter the competition and in some cases they leave without taking into account that they do not learn to make good quality music without have tried many times, maybe at first you produce things that are not very appreciable but as time goes by they take shape and meaning.
Creating is a skill that must be practiced constantly, it is like a muscle that is in the brain, let's say a weightlifter, if he does not train his muscles every day these are not going to grow, the same happens with creativity.
I have met musicians with high knowledge and skill when playing, but in the field of creation with very few imaginative resources, therefore end up copying many elements from other groups making them viewers immediately compare them with a well-known band "you sound like such a band" sometimes causing a bit of discomfort if you want to create a completely genuine album that sounds like you to your own concept.
The most famous bands of today, if you have noticed it, have a unique and characteristic sound that makes them sound and it is very difficult to compare them with others.

Tips to increase creativity
1- Begin to introduce yourself to other musical genres and their variants such as pop, rock, electronic music, jazz, blues, country, soul, to expand the range of sounds that are stored in brain.
2- In your practice sessions with the instrument, create sequences of arpeggios, ascending, descending, voicings, run the scales in intervals of 3rd-4th-5th-6th-7th.
3- Create simple and short chord sequences, as they go according to your taste you will add more rhythmic and harmonic complexity.
4- To create music, this does not need to be the most complex in the world there are songs that are made with only 2 chords working well the harmony of these.
5- After you create sequences of chords, improvise on them.
6- You can train the writing on the sequences that you have created, since these can transmit to you some feeling and can make the creativity flow with paper and pencil.
7- You can place the metronome to play at a comfortable speed and start making sequences of chords or scales, playing with all your resources "is what I usually do to create new music after have a letter done ".
8- Be attentive to what time of day your creativity flows more to many happens at night, also if in a group or just "it happens more to me when I'm alone".
9-Do not copy and express melodic lines and rhythms of others, believe me that it will not help you at all when creating authentic, genuine and highly rated material
As time passes your skills will improve and therefore you will create better things, remember that everything is with perseverance and patience.

I totally agree with this post, creativity and theory are 2 very important things to create an authentic sound. You have to find the right balance.
