Do you want to get into jazz but do not know what artists or groups listen to?

- Exploring unknown territory -

As I mentioned earlier in my old entries, music does not die, on the contrary it suffers an evolution or is immersed in certain patterns of adaptability in which these genres are fused in projection to their elements, through an abstraction of ideas or characteristics. Of course, my recommendation of the day is focused on the listeners who want to venture into the genre, that is why I want to share with you certain groups which have very fresh and interesting proposals within a contemporary scene or sonority.

Many of us want to expand our musical repertoire constantly but by positioning ourselves in non-media music genres we find ourselves disoriented, for which we resort to the most recognized interpreters of the genre, in this case artists like; Charlie Parker, Frank Sinatra, Django Reinhardt, Jaco Pastorius, etc. Being artists who are suddenly or were heard by our parents or grandparents. For this reason he wants to show you today a popurri of very attractive contemporary bands in the visual and musical field.

Some could classify Jazz as a genre of sophisticated and pretentious sounds that in certain cases is highly technical and boring cake, the truth is that this trio of minimalist standard ensemble (drums / double bass / piano) gives us extremely pleasant and funny sounds, occupying effects and elements that go beyond the canons of conservative jazz music. Being a digestible and pleasant group for the initiates in the genre.

- Portico Quartet -

A Quartet made up of young people who seek to channel unique sounds in their musical pieces, obtaining as a result beautiful sounds of ambience within extremely pleasant atmospheres. Note the use of the "Hang" instrument adding to it a range of synthesizers and effects loops, as well as large melodic lines coming from a saxophone.

Particularly I enjoy this variation of the genre, which has a somewhat "Smoth Jazz" sound very relaxing and melodically very ornate. Like many other emerging and independent projects, we can find and support your work on the "bandcamp" platform, being a job worth listening to carefully. Having the joy of listening to musical works like these live is a privilege, because we are directly confronted with what will be a musical revolution that will transcend beyond the media genres in the present, thus promoting the creation of more organic music, what projects a better plane for this musical scene that has to rise again.

- Alfa Mist -

Pretty pleasant musical project that converges within the melancholic sounds and the Drum and Bass oriented to hip-hop. This has been one of my most pleasing discoveries this year, as it focuses very well on a series of elements that result in a medley of sensations and ideas. It has a quite sophisticated and intrepid sound which you can appreciate in the next presentation.

- Snarky Puppy -

This is what is known as Big Band Jazz, for those who do not know the term this modality of ensemble, what they are looking for is to synthesize in a smaller scale the great orchestral ensembles having as main objective the creation of jazz musical. The striking thing about this group is the number of mergers that its nature or approach allows them to adopt, which makes the project in question something very musical. In my beginnings as a blogger on this platform I made a post as a recommendation to the general public about the enjoyment of this group, with which I spent hours listening to their album "we like it here", who has a high quality recording of one of his presentation to the public. Which you can enjoy on the YouTube platform.
