Definition Of Terms
It will be only on wise for me not to define so terms which are use in this writeup and wunderstandean, so as any reader can understand what is said when they come across them in the cause of reading this writeup. Some of the terms are as follow:
• Token: A piece of stamped metal used as a substitute for money; a voucher that can be exchanged for goods or services.
• BandZ: a word formed from bandwidth. Its also the name of the token used or issued by bandwidth.
• Bandwidth: bandwidth is the quantity of data that can be transfered electronically on an interlinked communications system.
• Metadata: Data that describes other data, serving as an informative label.
• VPN: Virtual Private Networks
• Mesh: To fit in, to come together.
• Provider: One who, or that which, provides a service, commodity, or the means for subsistence.
• Consumer: someone who trades money for goods as an individual.
• Gateway
• Node: A computer or other device attached to a network.
• Router: A device that connects local area networks to form a larger internet by, at minimum, selectively passing those datagrams having a destination IP address to the network which is able to deliver them to their destination; a network gateway.
That Annoying Feeling
Have you ever been in a remote area
I mean an area where the is no access to the Internet, I mean an area where your service provider couldnt give you access to the net, because the area is not covereda?
Have you ever subscribed to a data plan for the month aned it seems that the world just turned its back on you, because you can't seems to gain good access to the net, or its very slow 🐢 and loading as if its not loading?
Have you been in a tourist spot and you really need access to the net quick, but you seems not to able?
Have you ever been charge high rate just to surf the net and most times you still not get the value paid for?
Or The feeling you get when you're about to travel to another country which don't use similar service provider as your home country, you will have to buy new sim cards so as to be able to subscribe to a data plan in the new country even if you may just be spending 4days there(incurring more cost)?
Yep I know that feeling 😢
Well this is over with the introduction of BandZ BandZ is surving the above problem and more. With BandZ you can get access to the net anytime and anywhere in the on earth no matter the area, be it remote or a tourist spot. Before I go any further let me just do a quick recap on what BandZ is (bandwidth)
What Is Bandwidth?
Bandwidth is the quantity of data that can be transfered electronically on an interlinked communications system. i.e bandwidth is the amount of Internet one can enjoy, when they need it and as fast as they need it, anywhere and time anyday.
Now how does BandZ plan on achieving the above?
BandZ intend to remove the restrictions, (make it possible, open doors for others to have control, remove control from the hand of one or few persons) from internet by creating a world wide extranet using the power of blockchain technology.
It may sound funny or unrealistic because the the Internet enables blockchain and now the blockchain is turning around to enable the Internet, yep its true and I agree its funny too, at least the first time I heard it, it was worth a good laugh, but its very possible and realistic.
How can this be?
This can be through the BandZ token, (remember what i said a token is, if you can't, stop! and check the defination of terms above, thanks).
The BandZ tokens will give users free power over exchanging bandwidth and services such as VPN (Virtual Private Networks)
(Note: I'm only repeating the meaning of some words and acronym because I don't want you going up and down to get the meaning of what I'm saying, as we progress I will assume they are already known and I won't repeat the meaning any more)
Mesh net
Mesh, as difened above in the defination of terms; mesh means to fit in, to come together. So Mesh net is the coming together of group of smart computers, to create a large area of WiFi (wireless communication). This will increase the value of internet accessibility and decreases excess of traffic on the net.
Mesh networks nodes connect dynamically, directly, and non-hierarchically to all the other nodes they can find to peer with. A lack of central dependency on any single node enables each node to participate in information relay. This feature allows mesh networks to self-configure which in turns makes mesh networks fault tolerant and failure resistant.
Fault tolerance will mean less expensis on the side of the user (i.e a cheap access for customers).
Note: extremely good vendor neutral mesh net, that arranges nodes in a communications network. do not yet exist. The goal of BandZ’ is to create such a set of standards that would enable computers to connect, come together and exchange data (information).
Befor I go any further here are somethings you need to know
There are three kinds of nodes in the BandZ Network:
• Providers.
• Consumers.
• Gateways.
this terms where difined above in the defination of terms do take a look at the definations to be more clear, thanks
• Provider nodes: They direct bandwidth from BandZ internal traffic to the outer (external) world internet.
• Consumer nodes: They receive application traffic and send it to the providers.
• Gateway nodes: they make services like STUN, TURN and GeoIP resolution available and accessible, with the aim of getting gratuity (reward, or payment) for their services.
While reading you may wonder; all this data that are going to be given out, how secure are their, won't my data be sold?
Well that's a good point...
Bandz has put this into consideration, because they know that one of the basic human right is right to privacy, so there is a end-to-end encryption which makes traffic appear Metadata-free as it goes through switches and routers.
Here at BandZ we make your data yours and secure
With the VPNs (Virtual Private Networks): This networks grant computer secure communication with encryption to another computer over the net. With this a user can hide his/her identity by accessing websites from another computer.
This other third party won't be able to collect or gather your personal information
VPN provides secure access to the net no matter where you are in the world 🌏
it does not matter how far away the computers may be.
A quick example
Mark travels from to the Philippines from Nigeria, getting there he noticed his service provider has no access or coverage there at the Philippines, he then try to get access to the free WiFi, but its not available and he really needs to send a document to his partners in Nigeria 🇳🇬 to show how far he has gone. Mark remember BandZ and buy bandwidth from the BandZ network for low price, he connects to the network, he is now able to send the document to his partners in Nigeria 🇳🇬 .
