Remember Orkut?

I know Orkut is dead now but then it was one of the first fully successful social networking site that had so many users on it.

I use to be addicted to it back in the day. And it was a completely different feeling to it. I made a few really cool friends when I use to use Orkut and now many of them have followed me on Facebook.

It's been like a decade since it was officially released and the registration process was based on invites.

Orkut's popularity grew so fast that people use sell the invites and those who didn't get them would try and find people who had those invites.

I was lucky to get a invite really fast, I was one of the first few people in my city to have an Orkut account.

Gone are those sweet days but most people are now connected on FB and I wonder who will take the place of FB.
