Self-partnered?

"Self-partnered?" That's an abuse of language. You can no more be "Self-partnered" than play team - sports individually. And I'm tired of the abuse of language for political purposes. From whatever direction it's designed to obscure and hide truth. But Orwell already said it better than me, decades ago, and I assume some Greek or Chinese ancient said it millennia ago.

But it's even worse because, sadly, it's an abdication to the expectations of partnering. Instead of saying, "No, I'm not partnered, why are you so pathetic as to object to that?" it tries to justify the not-partnering as a form of partnering.

Emma Watson isn't partnered up? So what? Why would anyone be so pathetic as to object to that?
