Hindi pala beauty contest, singing contest, o talent shows ang pinakamahirap i-judge! Food pala talaga. Lalo na at nakakagutom sila!

That's what I told myself after going through a total of 19 different entries for @tpkidkai's first ever contest! (Yey! So proud of you!)

I swear it wasn't that easy!

When he told me about his plan of hosting a contest, I really thought it was a great idea!

We love to eat. Whenever we go out, there was never a time na hindi kami kumain somewhere. We try to check on new resto's and food establishments that we think can give satisfaction to our cravings for that certain day. And I think everyone would understand why eating is addressed a hobby nowadays!

But I never thought that judging in a food contest wouldn't be as easy as eating. I mean, almost all of the participants had sent entries that either we have never tasted before soemthing we have eaten before that made us crave for it. (Or only me? haha)

The hardest part for me was doing the judging when it's almost lunch. Checking on each one of them, made me feel the hunger more.

Going back, it's really a good thing that a criteria has been set. At dun na nagkatalo.

So ayun na nga po!

I really love the way these participants have told the story behind the food they represented. Each one had their unique way! Some of them, killed it with their photos! But only a few nailed both criteria.

So here are the top 3 participants for me. (Disclaimer: These 3 are only in acccordance to my judging and NOT tallied yet.)

@allerie00's Pinakbet.

  • Not only that her photos are enticing, but also, she has presented the cuisine in a very healthy manner! Who wouldn't want to eat something that is not only delicious, but healthy too. She has included the benefits one body could get in a full meal if pinakbet is laid on the table.

  • When you check on his entry link, he has given a short history of where the lechon has originated. Look how tempting the pictures are!!! Putok-batok na ba?

@shengrubel's Loming Batangas

  • Look at those toppings! Loming Batangas isn't only good for meryenda. It's perfect anytime of the day, specially during cold and rainy weather.
