It's been a fantastic day, but since I'm still a little sleep deprived, I'm ready to wrap things up.
Here's what happened today.
Outreach
Outreach has officially begun for Elite Players: Newsletter. I won't name names, but a certain company recently reached out to me, asking me whether I'd be interested in joining their affiliate program. It seemed like a good fit to me, so I accepted.
Then, I made an ask of them. I asked them whether they'd be interested in featuring my newsletter on their blog or if they'd like to become an affiliate for it (or both). I don't know what the response is going to be, but I asked, and moving forward, I'm going to be asking a lot more.
Content
I've been working on quite a bit of content today. I like that Friday is my miscellaneous day.
I put together a new video, edited a video I'd already had in the can, and scheduled posts across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and YouTube.
I know all about creating an editorial calendar and scheduling content and I think it's great when you can do it. But I find it so repetitive and boring. You can easily spend 30 minutes just scheduling 15 days of content (or less). I've been finding that a spontaneous approach to social media has been working better for me lately.
Given that I'm still quite skeptical of the ROI on social media (aside from showing up and staying top of mind with people), this approach could work for me.
Books
I've been making headway with the editing of The Renegade Musician. I'm a littler over 1/6 complete. Editing is fun. I'm glad that's the case, because it means it's very likely a good book.
I responded to Amazon KDP's issue with The Music Entrepreneur Companion Guide paperback and hardcover versions. I still find it funny that anything flies with Kindle (because we had no issues with the Kindle version), but paperback and hardcover policies are apparently different.
I think the issue might be that Amazon KDP thinks the book is a companion to another work. In a matter of speaking, it is, but it's a companion to the entire Music Entrepreneur series, not just The Music Entrepreneur Code. I hope they let me publish as is, but I might end up having to change the title, and therefore the book cover, and sections of the interior.
Random Video
Today, I watched a random spiritual video. The creator said, "People have been scattered and disconnected until now. But as we move into November, they're starting to move with more ease."
It's an accurate reflection of how I've felt. Scattered and disconnected. My finances even took a dive for a bit. But now, I finally feel like I'm making progress with righting the ship.
