BALAY MINDANAW'S SLOGAN

When I was still in the Philippines, I am one of the volunteers of Balay Mindanaw Foundation, Inc. with @itstonigirl during the emergency response and we will forever be a volunteer.

Before I became a volunteer, I was once a victim of a calamity and this group helped my family start anew. They also conducted Psychosocial Assessment to help us overcome the phobia caused by flood we experienced. When Yolanda struck areas of Visayas, I am part of the Disaster Risk-Reduction, Resiliency-building and Emergency Assistance Mission (DREAM) volunteer by Balay Mindanaw to Leyte more specifically in Barangay San Juan, Ormoc City, Leyte. I stayed there for 2 weeks for the assessment and to gather data on the place.

Last December 22, 2017, Typhoon Vinta hit Mindanao and Cagayan de Oro City is one of the most affected areas. It left many people homeless and in need of our help. Action CAREST(Carmen rescue team) is one of the partner barangay of BMFI who rescued many people in the area.
