And to this day I sometimes suddenly with horror and delight realize that almost all of my friends are adults.
I am surrounded by adults. They speak to me on equal terms. Some, especially gifted, even manage to take me seriously.
My life is so good that it's scary even. Adults do not make comments when I smoke and swear. They do not prevent me from sleeping at night and are not forced to eat soup. Some adults even offer me alcohol and drugs.
I, moreover, have an adult passport and adult driver's license. A couple of times I was even taken to some kind of adult work and paid for it with real, adult money.
It seems that I managed to outwit everyone.
