What is Oversteem'd

Hey guys, @alphum here and I'd like to finally, formally introduce Oversteem'd, an Overwatch Steem community for casual and competitive players alike. Whether you're just interested and don't have the game or the most serious competitive Overwatch player, anybody is welcome. Our primary means of communication is a Discord server which is linked in the image above.

Current Roadmap

For the past week or so now I've been promoting a placeholder community to people I've come across on the platform who play while mulling over what direction I'd like to take the community and so far this is what I've come up with. Very likely to be updated and/or changed in the future.

Oversteem'd Steemit Account -

In the future, all Oversteem'd updates will come from an official account. This is to separate it from myself and allow it to become its own entity with its own influence. I have interests outside just Overwatch that I'd like to explore on the platform and by creating this account I can better promote content around the game in a more streamlined manner; the account should be live in a couple days.

Better Curation -

Once I learned more about the Steem platform I made it my main, personal goal to seek out and curate what acceptable Overwatch content I could find with my minimal influence in order to promote the game and encourage others to become more involved. However, I quickly noticed that what I currently have in the platform and what I've earned off it just isn't enough; it has minimal effect. Moving forward, I'll be focusing even more so on improving my own voting power—except now it's more than just a personal goal— so I can better promote involvement in the community. With more voting power I am confident I can significantly increase the chances of pulling more influential Overwatch players onto the platform. As to how I can most efficiently increase Steem Power, I'm still learning; if you have any suggestions please let me know.

Oversteem'd Overwatch Team -

With the inception of the Path to Pro, Blizzard opened up a way for anybody to get recognized. With this in mind, I'd like to coach and/or play a Steem branded, semi-pro Overwatch team with the intent of promoting the Steem platform while also engaging in serious competition at the same time. The way I'm seeing it is: those who become involved with the team in any way will in some way be exposed to Steem and that seems like a pretty good idea to me, especially with the explosive growth the Overwatch League has been experiencing.

If anybody has any suggestions, let me know in the comments.
