Usually ovulation time is the time for women when they feel more energy, more sex drive, and an overall feeling of happiness and well-being but for few women ovulation brings crampy pain. It is usually felt on one side of the pelvis, and the pain is usually quite low in the abdomen where your ovaries are located. So basically these women can actually feel that they are ovulating. Other name for this condition is Mittelschmerz – german for ‘pain in the middle’.

It is believed that during ovulation, when a follicle on the ovary ruptures and expels an egg, there is release of some extra fluid, which may lead to a dull ache. Another reason for the ovulation pain is improper balance of prostaglandins and excess estrogen. Mittelschmerz usually only lasts a few hours, but it can last up to a day or two for some women.

Usually ovulation pain is bearable but if it is intense and quite severe, you may be dealing with endometriosis or ovarian cysts. Good news is this can be corrected by balancing the hormones. Your constitutional homeopathic remedy can make a difference in the sensitivity levels and bring back the joy of ovulation.
