The animals are magnificent and your photography is amazing! You are soooo fortunate to be able to travel to see them!

Yes, it is very nice to see the animals in their normal habitat. In Namibia and also in South Africa are the big national parks which are easy to reach. There are also national parks in other African countries. In these parks are stations where you can stay over night. Either in your own tent, in your car or you rent a small house (which I never did). I wish you that you can also travel to South Africa (Kruger NP) or to Namibia. Good luck.
If you are interested, I will try to post a Zebra birth in the next days.

Wow awesome sunset! The cheetah is beautiful, we’re you that close or did you use a zoom lens?

Namibia - added to the list. Assuming you went on a guided tour, could you recommend the company or package that you used?

The sunsets are mostly beautiful and colorful in southern countries.
The cheetah was not photographed with a zoom lens. Several of the cheetahs lived in a private farm, where i could go very close to them and even pet them. It was a strange feeling, but it all went well. I traveled Namibia with a booked tour, where we traveled with an four-wheel bus. We slept in the bus and the bus also had a kitchen, where we cooked our own food. But I was in Namibia before on my own with a rented car and motorhome. I have never experienced a car being attacked by the wild animals.
The second sunset photo shows a large pond that was lit by the evening sun and there were a lot of elephants to drink water. Also, lions came and giraffes were wary of the lions, so they waited for hours before they drank.

I traveled with the german traveling company https://www.rotel.de/ - they are a very nice family owned business and a do most of my traveling with them. If you decide to book with them, it would be nice to tell them you learned about them from me (Mrs. Sarikas), so i would get a rebate on my next booking. ;)

Thanks for the awesome response! Haha at your plug for a rebate :)

Ok now my questions/comment:

  1. Do I need to know German to take that tour?
  2. Did you prefer the guided tour or the exploration on your own?
  3. How are the locals? What kind of interactions do you tend to have with them?
  4. What ethnicity does the name Sarikas come from?
  5. If you want more viewing of your content - try adding some more tags.. :)

answerers to your questions:

  1. Yes, this is a german company. all their travels are in german and start in Germany.
  2. Both are very nice ways to travel but they both have their ups and downs. if you travel on your own it is cheaper, so i traveled a lot longer on my own than with the company, but it needs more preparation.
  3. In Namibia they talk german and english. The locals are very nice people.
  4. Sarikas is a greek name, but i am german.
  5. Ok, thank you. i will try to put more in. you mean in the text as #hashtags ? because the tags below a limited to 5.

Thanks for the responses !! And you’re right about the tags. I’m using an app and didn’t see all the tags 🙃☺️

I've been in Namibia some months ago and wasn't lucky enough to see any elephants. The best moment was in Etosha while driving carefully and a lions family - four or five little lions and two mothers - were so close to us!
It's an amazing travel destination!
