Goddess

They whisper your name in secret ceremonies

They call to you in their moments of despair

You, O Goddess, who with nimble hands a spell does weave

And with it shares your power with them

They fear you in your anger as the Moon turns dark

They assuage their guilt with sacrifice

For you, O Goddess, who with dreadful countenance can destroy

And do unto them that which they do unto others

They love you in your joy as their children grow

They seek you when life is good

You, O Goddess, who with a smiling face do them protect

And bring to them the wisdom of things unseen

They call your name aloud at the fires of worship

They seek your light in the darkness of night

You, O Goddess, who makes the way visible

And grant them safe passage through the labyrinth

They know you as they know themselves for you are in them all

They bond with you as they would bond with each other

For you, O Goddess, are the strength that sustains them

And the wisdom that inspires them to greatness
