DON'T LOOSE YOUR INTEGRITY AND VOICE CHASING A CROWN

The day you exchange your integrity for a crown, you loose your voice in the society...

Today, there are so many pageantries been organized to extort from desperate, innocent and naive people which mostly are youths with great visions and potentials. Youths spending their resources in cash and kind just to get a crown which according to them gives them access to opportunities that they wouldn't have without it.

Most Pageantries today are lucrative business ventures where greedy set of persons extort, exploit young men and women of their resources just because of unrealistic prizes to be won. Winners are selected based on how much they are willing to offer either in cash or kind which so many succumb to just because they are in pursuit of Fame and opportunities which ends up to be a mirage at the end of the day. A competition that is supposed to encourage youths with ideas, innovations and award them not just for their facial looks but excellence, is now one that does the direct opposite. Teach youths to get it the easy way by selling crowns to the highest bidder.

People have numerous reasons why they go for these contests. Some for genuine reasons, to win and give back to society and for others, to get fame for themselves and favours solely for their own selfish interest which isn't an attribute of a Queen or King who should be passionate about helping people that are less fortunate and be an ambassador for the good of the nation. This has been defeated because winners are not choosen based merit.

So many ills are going on in the modeling industry, leaving those who really want to give back to society helpless and frustrated. Even when it's so obvious of who the winner is, things are manipulated to favour does who have paid their dues. But to be honest, you mustn't wear a crown or belong to any agency to succeed or be they model you want to be in life. You are already a model where ever you find yourself. Whether at your home, school, church, workplace, market. It's either you are influencing or affecting lives positively or negatively through your way of life. It's pointless buying form to contest, spending on custumes, wasting time, energy and finances when they winner is already known. It's better to use your resources to assist those within your community and be rest assured, that one day you will get not just the recognition but opportunities you least expected. Stop fighting for a crown, because it never defines who you are or where you are going to.
