This is an acrylic painting I did several years ago.
I love contrasts and decided to paint black against white.
To create the color of the skull, white was mixed into brown in varying amounts and brushed on top of one another.
Being playful at the time, I decided to include a lotus flower on the top of the skull.
The skull represents death and lotus flower represents life.
Contrasts!
