Robin - Four Times - MixedMedia

Dearest Steemster,

This time I would love to show you some mixedmedia artwork from my side. Once I was at the Burgers' Zoo in Arnhem (near Nijmegen), where I photographed a real, wild robin! He was so cute, sitting on this pole in all his fluffyness, that I wanted to paint him (or her). Several times. In different kinds of media :)

I think I started with thisone:

This painting of the robin was made on a canvasboard, which is canvas, spanned on a cardboard, I think. I painted what I saw here, with a simplified background, to make the viewer focus on the subject itself.

Hereafter I experimented with two more abstracted (or stylished?) robins:

... and ...

Once, I was experimenting with felt, thread and fabric. I sewed this felt, sloppy, on this zebra-patterned fabric, to make a messy, 3D robin. I also sewed a button as an eye, because I love buttons as eyes. It made it quit difficult to frame it in a glass-frame. (But it worked)

What do you think, more sewing?

Thanks for visiting, I hope you like it and come by another time!
