Painting a Grouse Mural in the middle of no where

For the last three years I have been going tree planting to make most of my annual income. It's a gruelling job reserved for those who can stand hoards of mosquitos, extreme exhaustion, long days under the sun and isolation. It has it's benefits, one of them being that you can make $200-$500 a day depending on how fast you can plant trees and I was pretty good at it so I was happy at the end of the day despite the hard working conditions.
This summer one of the places my company took my crew to plant trees was this really old logging camp that we actually had to take a boat to. It was combination awesome and terrible. The food was shitty, the weather was worse and the loggers who were working there were grumpy but I got to fulfill one of my dreams which was to paint a mural somewhere that no one would ever paint a mural. This place was truly in the middle of no where!

I got all the paint from the people running the logging camp. It was just hardware spray paint and a bucket of grey outdoor rust paint. Here's the process

Here's what I wrote about this piece the day I completed it :
"Tomorrow is my crew's last day in this really old logging camp near Pitt Lake and I just got to finish up this grouse painting. In the bush world, a lot of people make fun of this timid creature, mainly because they freeze in one place when trucks are driving towards them and often become road kill, but that's not how I see them. I find they are a stoic animal and are beautiful in their simple nature and soft temperament. "

Don't go tree planting unless you want to loose your mind and make lots of money!
