Some of my first attempts at landscape painting.

So far throughout my journey into the world of oil painting I've stuck mostly to rather surreal or symbolic portraits and figures. Recently I've found myself inspired (probably partially due to all the amazing nature in Greece) to try my hand at landscapes. Its definitely a whole different type of painting and there has been a bit of a learning curve, but I thought I would share my progress with all of you as I go.

So here are my first two attempts. Both are quite small (4x6 inch canvases). Let me know what you think! I've still got a long way to go before I reach my goals, but I feel I'm off to a good start.

I like it, specially the winter scene, you made an awesome effect for the mist and the wind. Are you using oil or acrylic?
